"Shine your light".

Gospelkonzert mit Andachten und zum Mitsingen am Mittwoch 12. Dezember 2018 um 19.00 Uhr.

Zum zweiten Mal laden die evangelische Propstei Vorsfelde mit ihrem Gospelchor, das Dekanat der katholischen Kirche Wolfsburg und das AutoMuseum Volkswagen zu einem Gospelkonzert im AutoMuseum Volkswagen ein. Am Mittwoch, 12. Dezember 2018 um 19.00 Uhr heißt es „Shine your light“. Besinnliche Andachten und mitreißende Gospelsongs geben Ihnen Gelegenheit, einmal innezuhalten und durch die Kraft des Lichts neuen Mut zu schöpfen. Das Mitsingen ist ausdrücklich erwünscht. Der Eintritt ist frei.

"Eine empfindsame Reise im Automobil" by Otto Julius Bierbaum.

Stephan Schäfer reads from the very first auto tour travelogue on November 21, 2018.

Otto Julius Bierbaum is regarded as the first author of an auto tour travelogue. In 1902 he undertook a three-month tour around Europe, recording his impressions and experiences in a book titled "Eine empfindsame Reise im Automobil" [A sentimental journey in an automobile]. It is a work which remains fascinating to this day. On Wednesday November 21, 2018 at 7.30 pm, Stephan Schäfer from the Künstler-Sekretariat artists' agency in Cologne will be presenting a talk at the museum which will recreate this adventurous journey. Tickets cost 8 euros, and can be obtained from the Volkswagen AutoMuseum.

Zeit-Zeugen-Gespräch am Mittwoch, 14. November 2018 um 17.00 Uhr

Mit einer beeindruckenden Anzahl an höchst unterschiedlichen Forschungsautos, deren Features weit in die Zukunft reichen, überraschte Volkswagen die Öffentlichkeit ab den 80er-Jahren. Ein besonders pfiffiges Auto war der VW Chico von 1991. Am 14. November um 17.00 Uhr lädt das AutoMuseum zum Zeitzeugen-Gespräch zu diesem ein Kompaktwagen voller technischer und technologischer Innovationen ein. Der Eintritt ist frei.

Cult and Power: GTI legends from the Wörthersee 2008 to 2018.

Exclusive special exhibition of all 12 one-off vehicles, running from October 19, 2018 to February 17, 2019.

Each year for the last 11 years, Volkswagen trainees have been designing and building their dream car – the so-called "Wörthersee GT". Since the initiative was launched on order of the Management Board, 12 one-off vehicles have been produced: 10 in Wolfsburg, one in Osnabrück and one in Zwickau. From October 19, 2018 to January 20, 2019, a special exhibition titled "Cult and Power: Legends from the Wörthersee 2008 to 2018" will be exclusively featuring these unique models – each based on a specifically themed motto – at the Volkswagen AutoMuseum.

On Monday October 1, 2018, the Volkswagen AutoMuseum is inviting children and teenagers aged between 10 and 15 to a painting workshop.

As part of the "Stadtradeln" competition, the Volkswagen AutoMuseum is offering free entry for participants from August 11 to 31, 2018.

The town of Wolfsburg is once again this year taking part in the national "Stadtradeln" competition to encourage more cycling. The Volkswagen AutoMuseum is offering free entry to participating cyclists from August 11 to 31, 2018.

Exclusive guided tour of the "Trends on two wheels" special exhibition.

On June 30th at 2 p.m., curator Ingo Kollibay will be presenting a detailed technical review of the history of bicycle design.

Are you a cycling fan, and always wanted to know more about the history of the bicycle? Then come along on Saturday June 30th 2018, at 2 p.m., and you'll have the opportunity to do just that: Our curator, bicycle expert and builder Ingo Kollibay, will take you on a 1 ½ hour journey into the world of the bicycle, with a particular appeal for those interested in the more technical aspects. Car Design meets Music.

From June 22nd 2018 to January 14th 2019, artist Raughi Ebert will be exhibiting his unique collages combining automobile designs and classical music scores.

Composition and design are both highly creative processes. In his exhibition "Car Design meets Music", Raughi Ebert combines the silhouettes of iconic German cars of the past with excerpts from musical scores and sketches by leading classical composers including Beethoven, Bach and Mozart. The unique collages will be featuring as part of a series titled "Mobile Art: Art at the Volkswagen AutoMuseum" from June 22nd 2018 to January 14th 2019.

The Dixieland Messengers Praha.

Jazz concert presented by Prag live e. V. on Sunday June 17th 2018 at 11 a.m.

Recreating the sound of New Orleans: In a matinee performance on June 17th 2018 at 11 a.m., the Dixieland Messengers Praha will be captivating their audience with the traditionally improvised musical stylings of the world-renowned jazz metropolis. The event is being organised, as in previous years, by Prag live e. V., which provides Czech artists with a platform to perform in Wolfsburg.

First flea-market at the Volkswagen AutoMuseum.

The Open Day being held on Saturday June 2nd 2018 will for the first time also provide the opportunity to browse for hidden gems.

It's a prospect to make any classic collector's heart beat faster: On Saturday June 2nd 2018, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Volkswagen AutoMuseum will be hosting its first ever flea-market in the museum grounds. There will be stalls selling parts for classic Volkswagens, books, models, and much more. Running in conjunction with an Open Day, entry to the museum on that date will be free of charge. Food and drinks will also be available.

Trends on two wheels. Technology. Lifestyle. Cycling.

Special exhibition - EXTENDED TO October 7th 2018.

With its special exhibition titled "Trends on two wheels. Technology. Lifestyle. Cycling.", being held from March 27th to October 7th 2018, the Volkswagen AutoMuseum will be entering new territory: the world of cycling, which in some 200 years has given birth to an impressive wealth of technological innovations – from Karl Drais's dandy horse (which he called "Laufmaschine"), through the penny-farthing, to today's commonly seen diamond-frame safety bicycle. The exhibition will feature the special bicycle designs that have been developed through the different eras, including dandy horses, lowriders, racing bikes, folding bikes, velomobiles and ultra-lightweight constructions. Another feature will be a design that was popular in earlier times and is currently enjoying a real boom – namely the electric-powered bicycle, or e-bike, of which Volkswagen has also recently built its first prototype.

Colourful Europe.

A surprising pictorial journey with Oliver Lueck on Thursday, March 15th 2018 at 7.30 p.m.

World-traveller Oliver Lueck will be making his third appearance at the Volkswagen AutoMuseum on Thursday March 15th 2018 at 7.30 p.m. His presentation, titled "Europa Bunt", or Colourful Europe, will take his audience on a surprising pictorial journey, recounting tales of people and their extraordinary lives, and featuring unusual and sometimes adventurous anecdotes, accompanied by a selection of previously unpublished short stories. He always travels in his T3 Bus, including to the event in Wolfsburg, and it will also serve as the backdrop to his presentation. Tickets priced at €14 are available now from the Volkswagen AutoMuseum at Dieselstrasse 35.

On her majesty's speedy service. The craziest Bond toys of all time.

Interactive presentation featuring Dr. Siegfried Tesche on Friday February 9th 2018 at 7 p.m.

James Bond collector and expert Dr. Siegfried Tesche will be making a presentation on Friday February 9th 2018 at 7 p.m. titled "On her majesty's speedy service. The craziest Bond toys of all time". Tesche was on hand during filming, and was able to acquire a number of rarities which he will be exclusively presenting. Based on excerpts from the films, he will talk about many of the cult cars and clever gadgets that have featured. Admission is free of charge; doors open at 6 p.m.
